“BUKAS” (English Translation: adv. 1.Tomorrow ad. 2. Open.) In Manila, Philippines, one of the world's most strict lockdown were set in place during the COVID-19 pandemic. All schools were suspended, public transportation, any form of gathering illegal and police checkpoints are throughout the city. The once bustling streets of Manila were empty, devoid of the familiar chaos that defines the city. As we reopen our doors, there will still be great challenges and uncertainty. But overcoming these obstacles and making our future brighter is possible as we work together.

In Manila, Philippines, there is a community of gay men that meet up in secret at private condominiums and hotels to participate in “Chemsex”. The short film features true stories of 3 young men who were victims of the social discrimination, HIV epidemic and the ongoing war on drugs waged by the Philippines President.
